Installing Plugins

jEdit provides a large number of plugins that can be installed to extend the functionality of the editor. Two useful plugins that you should install include:

• BufferTabs
• SshConsole

To install a plugin, start jEdit and then select "Plugins" from the menu, followed by the "Plugin Manager..." option

After the "Plugin Manager" dialog box opens, select the "Install" tab

1. Search for the plugin(s) that you want to install and click the check box next to the plugin name.
2. After selecting the plugin(s), click on the "Install" button near the bottom of the dialog box. The plugin(s) should be installed and ready for use.
